Daaayum!!

Thoughtpennies! Reborn!

Pun very much intended! Either way, some of you might have noticed that we didn’t update for the past two weeks. This is true. With Amanda officially welcomed to the team, we got down to working out a system. You might also notice that the art is a little different than before. This is because of our new plan so far; Darren writes, I draw, Amanda inks, I throw it all together. Maybe I’ll show you a more detailed version of it some other time. I’m also working on a fun personal project: this is a preview. Essentially it’s Thoughtpennies as a Super Sentai series. It was Sarah’s idea, so give her the weird looks. Speaking of Sarah, I spent most of my Saturday with Darren and Sarah in San Francisco. It was a lot of fun! I took a couple of pictures that I might show you, I’m really not a picture-taker, but I should get into that habit since I have a camera in my pocket all the time (it’s also a cell phone for those of you born in the 50s). Either way, Darren took a bunch more, maybe he’ll show them to you and describe what San Fran was like. Or maybe he won’t. I can’t tell the future, so stop being so demanding! Or maybe I can.

I left my heart in…

…a locked filing cabinet, in the bottom of the basement with no lights and a broken set of stairs.

NO!

San Francisco of course you sillies. So yes, me and T.J. indeed visited San Francisco this weekend, on our annual “Posh Day” where we take one day to experience how the other side lives and, at the same time, to mock the lifestyle of the rich and famous by wearing full suits and doing “fancy” things and also “unfancy” things. Of course, people probably didn’t see exactly that was the existential point of what we were doing when we started playing DDR in our suits at Pier 39, but hey, I have to say, that was quite a lot of fun and I did sorta like the attention. :P Perhaps if there are any Bay Area thoughtpennies fans, perhaps you’d all like to join us next year?

Unfortunately, I left my sunglasses at the Pier, so I went back to get them the next day with Matt (yes ladies and gentlemen, he exists) to pick them up while I was hanging out with him. And of course, while we were there, we admired all the lovely ladies on the beach who somehow hadn’t been eaten by Jaws or by his spawn. It was actually tempting to invite some of them to the Ice Cream parlor up the way at Ghirardelli Square, which is basically an ancient chocolate factory that they converted into a shopping center.

No Willy Wonka unfortunately.

But unfortunately I had to break their hearts because it wouldn’t be fair of me to steal all of them would it?

Mmhm. Riiight. *sigh*

Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to see if my character has any better luck with Alice.

I like it. So I thought I should share some of my artness with you all. If any of you go to my DeviantArt page then you will have seen most of my art. My favorites have to be this one, this one and this one, just to put a few. I love to draw and sometimes, doing just inking and shading for Thought Pennies just doesn’t do it for me. I do doodles sometimes, sometimes for people I know, sometimes for RP that I have with Josh [ aka Wallwalker ] and recently I created a new character. Her name is Lilianne and I created her for our most recent pirate RP. I loooove her. This is what she looks like. Yes, I love her and I know that Josh does as well… as does his character which I need to draw them making out or something more naughty.

Also, I introduced Josh to Darren and TJ. That’s it. It’s too much for me to remember. Nooo, they didn’t explode after meeting him… though I’m sure they were a little scared. Josh is a big guy and also is my body guard. He guards it in a very unorthodox way. I’ll probably post more sketchythings in the Thought Pennies part of the forums over at the Awkward Adventures place we have. Who knows what I’ll be posting next!!
